Ireland's Naked Prime Minister

Per Irish state broadcaster RTE, a guerilla artist has displayed two pictures of Ireland's Taoiseach (Prime Minister) in Dublin galleries. The pictures show Brian Cowen naked.

The BBC reports the Garda (Irish police service) are investigating to see if a crime has been committed by the artist.

Irish twitterers were quick to jump into the debate:

@RTEcraic (Ireland) Guerilla artist hangs nude Cowen paintings: Nude paintings of Taoiseach Brian Cowen were snuck into two of Dubli.. http://tinyurl.com/cozo2m

@phil_revahealth (Dublin, Ireland) Did you see the "well hung" paintings of Brian Cowen on RTE News? That sub editor deserves an award! http://short.ie/kpikx8 (Click on [2])

@AndrewParnell (Dublin, Ireland) HIlarous - look away now if you don't want to see Brian Cowen naked. http://bit.ly/vxrk

@sineadgleeson (Dublin, Ireland) Wondering who painted those naked pictures of Brian Cowen and snuck them into two galleries? http://tiny.cc/EyZap

@JamesCarroll09 To be a bit more philosophical on Twitter - what do you all think of the picture in the National Gallery of Brian Cowen? Bit crass+sad??

@ananelson (Dublin, Ireland) Never thought I would have reason to google "naked taoiseach".
